Mateja Starič is a musician and sound designer who has been working in theatre and film for 20 years. Over the last five years, she has created music and sound for more than thirty theatre productions, films, sound installations, radio plays, and her own musical performance Mementophonia.

She has received both domestic and international awards for her soundtracks, including at the British Animation Film Festival in London, Lanterna Magica in Brazil, PiF in Zagreb, the Biennale of Puppet Artists of Slovenia, and the prestigious Peer Raben Music Award at SoundTrack_Cologne in Germany. She also occasionally lectures and conducts workshops at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana and the University of Arts in Nova Gorica.
